THE SME MEMBERSHIP SCHEME

        The Petroleum Science and Technology Institute (PSTI) is a not-for-profit organisation working on behalf of its Member companies in the upstream oil and gas industry to catalyse and promote the development of new technology for the improvement of exploration and production efficiency. PSTI works in close partnership with oil companies, service and supply companies, universities and research organisations as well as government bodies, to identify and match the needs of industry with the best resources and capabilities available throughout the world.

        PSTI operates membership schemes (Corporate Membership, Access Membership, Associate Membership and SME Membership) designed to suit the specific requirements of each particular organisation. Membership is open to all organisations, large and small, who have a clear interest in science and/or new technology in the oil and gas sector.

        SME (small and medium sized company) membership is aimed particularly at those companies committed to enhancing their competitive edge through innovation. SME Membership is also designed to assist those organisations from other industry sectors seeking to transfer skills and products to the upstream oil and gas industry.
